Baby G's Library Dinner Celebration.

Some of our very dear friends from church threw Ryan and I a library themed couples' dinner celebration for Baby G.

These are the beautiful invitations. So creative! Remember the card catalog anyone?

 Beautiful centerpieces.

1. 3. 26. 35.

Head Coach. Days with Dana and Roxie. Years of age. Weeks gestation.

You're looking at the new head track coach after his first track meet! I'm very proud of him!

My sweet friend from Tech, Dana and her adorable daughter Roxie came to visit last weekend. It was a delightful time, especially since we visited her when she was about to pop last summer! Don't tell anyone, but we may or may not have watched Bieber's 'Never Say Never' and teared up once or twice.

Dana and I have betrothed our offspring to one another. Roxie and her future husband had ample time to get to know each other this weekend.

I turned 26 today! Didn't Dad get creative with the birthday candles?

Teamwork is one of their strong suits.

Baby G has been cookin' for 35 weeks! My only real issue continues to be swelling in my hands and feet. More water equals less swelling. It seems counter-intuitive, but Ryan lovingly encourages my hydration all the live-long day! Would anyone like to place a bet on when this baby is coming?

How thankful am I that my day of birth falls on Spring Break? Ryan planned a lovely day for us...He cooked me a delicious breakfast, we ran a few errands, went to see a movie, had a great dinner, and learned to breastfeed!

Lunch of pregnant champions. $1.50 for a Costco hotdog and soda. Can't beat it.

Calamari is a Gilmore staple at just about every restaurant we visit.

And who wouldn't want to end their birthday at a breastfeeding class at the hospital? Actually, my wise husband decided to end it with dessert at Flying Star instead, but the bread pudding was devoured eaten too quickly to photograph!

Baby G is showered once more!

Last weekend brought another baby shower for sweet Baby G.  It was a perfect afternoon and such a blessing!

My Nana and I before the shower. She took care of me when my mom went back to work when I was 4 months old. A very special lady to me indeed!

 Beautiful alphabet cupcakes!

How fun is this punch?

Grammy enjoying the punch.

My Grandma Johns and Bunny enjoying the afternoon.

Each guest brought a children's book along with their gift. Such a fun way to build a library!

 Aunt Lo Lo and Grandma!

Both Grandmas!

What a beautiful set of books!

This was a 'wishes for baby' tree. Very sweet.

Aunt Carol was in town for the festivities.

Here's the gorgeous quilt my mom made for Baby G. It looks so beautiful in the nursery...More pics soon!

And here are the wonderful hostesses who threw such a lovely shower. We've all known each other since grade school, and it was such a treat to celebrate Baby G with them! Thank you girls for your love and generosity!

33.5 Weeks.

The 33rd week of this pregnancy has treated us well.  Some of my oldest and dearest friends threw a beautiful shower for Baby G and Ryan and I also took some maternity photos with a very talented friend. I hope to have some of those pictures to share soon. As far as baby news goes...
  • We saw the midwife last week and Baby G's heartbeat was in the 130s-140s. Perfect.
  • My weight gain has slowed down a bit, though there's no doubt the belly keeps growing!
  • Baby G is moving like a wild man, and the kicks to the ribs are frequent and a sweet reminder of the sweet baby boy growing inside me. We are so blessed.
  • The nursery is almost done, and I can't wait to share pics soon!
  • Ryan and I finished up childbirthing classes, and they were equal parts enlightening and frightening. We got a tour of the hospital, which really made things feel VERY real. This baby is coming out, people. Ready or not.
  • My feet and hands are pretty swollen by the end of the day, but with 50% more blood volume pumping through this bod, I'm taking it as par for the course.
  • The acid reflux that woke me many a night with pools of vomit in the back of my throat has been successfully treated with my new BFF Pepcid AC. I am so very thankful.
  • Ryan continues to be wonderfully supportive and encouraging, and I'm getting more and more excited to see him as a father.
  • 7 (ish) more weeks to go! Your prayers are coveted!
