He is Risen!

" But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you." So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. And behold, Jesus met them and said, "Greetings!" And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him."  Matthew 28:2-9

I have really enjoyed decorating our new mantel for each season.

Ryan had Good Friday off and we dyed eggs...Coop was totally into it. Okay, maybe not. :)

 Cool egg mom, now what?

Ryan and I had fun, and Coop and I eat hard boiled eggs a lot, so all in all, a worthwhile 20 minutes. :)

Coop in his new big boy seat!

We had the whole fam over for Easter lunch...check out these adorable deviled eggs Grandma G made!

 Aunt Lo and Nate.

Aunt Carol was in town from California! She was Grandpa Lahvic's date.

Cooper is goofin around with Great-Grandma Johns!

Last Easter we were in the hospital with our new baby...what a difference a year makes!

 Three generations of Davids. :)

 Hangin with Aunt Carol.

We had a lovely afternoon with perfect weather, delicious food, and lots of love and laughter shared between family. We are so thankful for Christ's work on the cross and for blessing our little family so richly!

Spring Around Here.

"If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome." Anne Bradstreet

11 months.

It is hard to believe Coop is one month short of a year!

I thought this picture was an accurate description of our little man over the past few weeks. :)

While the past few days have been MUCH better, Coop was going through a seriously whiny/'who needs naps?' phase that sent Mama praying for patience constantly.

We took another trip to the aquarium...Cooper really enjoyed it!

 Rollin hard at Target.

Making messes.
Perusing the Spring Pottery Barn catalog.
'What seems to be the problem?'

  • He's pointing and grunting like an adorable little ape.
  • His 6-12 month onesies are finally getting a little too short. Good thing warm weather clothes are right around the corner!
  • He still eats literally EVERYTHING I feed him, but especially loves bananas and cheese.
  • Signs 'more please' which has really cut down on the high-pitched shrieking coming from the high chair. Manners are important, don't you know?!
  • He makes friends wherever we go, and loves flashing his cheesy grin to nice ladies at the store.
  • Says 'Mama' 'Dada' 'Baby' and various other combinations.
  • Loves reading books and giving kisses, and splashing like crazy in the bathtub...I think a kiddie pool will be a perfect birthday present!
  • Loves playing in the backyard and enjoying mouthfuls handfuls of dirt and leaves.
Momma's getting pretty pumped for your first birthday party! Can you say milk and cookies theme?!
We love you little bug!
